David Kramer
David Walter Kramer, 62, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
He was born on March 18, 1960, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Leo and Kathleen (Schwieterman) Kramer.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Kramer; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Bitler.
It is impossible to describe David in just a few words. He was a life-long resident of Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School in 1979. If anyone had the pleasure of meeting and knowing David, it would be impossible not to like him. He was funny, lighthearted, and ornery to his core, always making others laugh. David was a life-long Catholic and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. David was a farmer his entire life, with his farming career beginning with turkeys and pigs. He worked for Wayne Detling Farms for over 15 years before going out on his own to start David Kramer Farms.
David had a love of learning and was always reading and improving his knowledge about anything farming related. David loved the outdoors, camping, and in his younger years, hunting. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching Ohio State, but above all, he was Abby's biggest fan. David could always be heard yelling "Go Abs" at the beginning of each game. He loved all animals, with a special spot in his heart for his golden retrievers. David enjoyed tending to his garden, especially his tomatoes. He was a Ford-man and a Case-man. He loved going to the Whistle Stop to grab a bite to eat and spend time with his friends. Only one thing was more important to him than farming, and that was his family. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He would always make time for them and would never miss any event they were involved in. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them.
David is survived by his wife of 21 years, Ericka (Monk) Kramer, whom he married on June 16, 2001; his children, Denise Kramer of Beavercreek, Ohio, Ashley (Anthony) Stonerock of Greenville, Kristen (Kyle) Evans of Greenville, Lindsay (Matthew Hoggatt) Kramer of Union City, Ohio, Kari (Kent) Holmes of Greenville, and Abigail Kramer of Ansonia; his grandchildren, Jadynn Kramer, Gavin, Rowan and Rhen Stonerock, Kelton, Oliver, and Trevor Evans, Benjamin Stone, Rayna and Jaxon Hoggatt, Evelyn and Gabriel Holmes; his siblings, Leo (Pam) Kramer of Ansonia, John (Anita) Kramer of Columbus, Ohio, Ruth Bitler of Minster, Ohio, Marie (Tom) Hackenbracht of Minster, Barbara (Mike) Ross of Mason, Ohio, and Eugene Kramer of Coldwater, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Beverly Kramer of Union, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville with Father Louis Jacquemin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
His family will receive guests on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Friday, from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
