Earl Klosterman
On Friday, September 2, 2022, Earl Henry Klosterman passed away in Marysville, Ohio at the age of 85.
He was born to the late Walter and Alvina (Ranly) Klosterman, on August 30, 1937, in Rhine, Ohio.
He graduated from Coldwater High School and the University of Dayton with a master's degree in music education. He taught in the Coldwater district for 30 years. His devotion to the Church and love of music transcended for many decades including leader of the guitar mass, lay ministries and parish council.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Wildes) Klosterman in 1970 and wife Rachel (Billerman) Klosterman in 2001.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Eileen (Casey) (George) Klosterman. His six children, Teresa (Klosterman) Kronenberger and Gary Cox, Don and Charmaine (Bergman), Dan and Laura (Keller), Mike and Julie (James), Chuck and Angi (Olson), Kevin and Cindy (Dossat), 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His five stepchildren, Kathy George, Kelly (George) Joy, Steve and Mary Jo (Kaiser), Kim (George) and Tony Reed, Mike and Joyce (Siefring), 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was a devoted brother to his nine siblings, Thomas and Barbara Klosterman (dec'd), Sister Maria Klosterman (dec'd), Mark (dec'd) and Margaret Klosterman, Judy (dec'd) and Jim Rentz, Victor and Pat Klosterman, Connie and Jim Vail, Robert (dec'd) and Connie Klosterman, Luke and Rene Klosterman and Gary and Betty Klosterman. And the extended family members of the Wildes and Billerman families, friends and coworkers.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bluebird Retirement Community and ProMedica Hospice for their care.
Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater, Ohio.
Friends may call from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday and 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater, Ohio.
