Ronald Baumer
Ronald M. Baumer, age 67 of Minster, Ohio, died unexpectedly on November 4, 2022 at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on April 13, 1955 to Roman & Joan (Rump) Baumer in St. Marys, Ohio. Both his parents survive in Minster. He married Catherine Phlipot on October 23, 1976 in Minster Ohio and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by children: J.R. & Rebekah Baumer, Englewood, Jason & Nikki Baumer, Minster, Stephanie & Tim Stueve, Minster & Candace & Kevin Meyers, Grosse Pointe, MI , 12 grandchildren: Aspen, Roman, C.C., Haven, Bently, Willa, Sterling, Alexis, Jordyn, Brayden, Parker, Louis, brothers & sisters: Deb & Scott Smith, Pinedale, WY, Tom & Robin Baumer, Spring City, TN, in-laws Gene & Mary Lou Phlipot, Minster, siblings-in-law: Mark Phlipot, Springfield, Paul & Pam Phlipot, Minster, Vicky Goubeaux, Minster, Andy & Brianna Phlipot, Minster, Keith Phlipot, Minster.
He was preceded in death by in-laws: Dan Goubeaux and Estella Phlipot.
Ron was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Sons of the American Legion, and a past member of the Minster Fire Department. He was a longtime employee and manager of Community Lanes Bowling Alley, Minster and former owner of the Dutch Mill, Minster.
Ron enjoyed bowling, golf, traveling, and camping, but he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Tuesday, November 8 from 3 to 7 PM and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Minster Sons of the American Legion.
