A Celina woman's SUV lost control Thursday and damaged two houses on West Logan Street. The driver was taken to a hospital for possible injuries.

CELINA -An out-of-control midsize SUV struck and heavily damaged two homes on West Logan Street following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon.
No one inside the homes was injured but the driver of the SUV was taken by ambulance to a hospital for possible injuries, Celina Police Chief Tom Wale said.
Both homes sustained significant damage as did the two vehicles which were both towed from the scene near the intersection of West Logan and Stella streets, according to Wale.
Mary Smith of Celina was driving a 2017 Chevy Traverse southbound on Stella Street at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
For unknown reasons, Smith "pulled out from the stop sign at Stella and Logan and she was struck by a westbound Honda Accord," driven by Jeremy Hess of Maria Stein, Wale said.
At that point, Smith lost control of the SUV and ran into parts of homes at 804 and 806 West Logan Street. Her vehicle barreled through a bathroom of one home, knocking the toilet clear off its base, and caused damage to the dinning room of the other house, Wale said.
The accident remains under investigation.
Five Celina police officers and members of the Celina Fire Department/Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident, according to Wale.
