Hazel Armstrong
Hazel I. Armstrong, 97, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Otterbein St. Marys Senior Life Community.
She was born March 19, 1925 in Brown County, Indiana to the late John and Dessie (Moore) Hinkle. She married Warren G. Armstrong and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1994.
Survivors include her children, John Michael (Ruth) Armstrong, Walbridge, Ohio, Sandra (Allen) Hall, Zanesville, Ohio and Sharon (Steve) Latimer, Minster, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Beverly DePoy, Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Hazel was also preceded in death by three brothers, Maurice, Paul and Kenneth Hinkle.
Hazel was a 1943 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She worked her entire life as a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of St. Marys First Presbyterian Church and later attended St. Paul's United Church in St. Marys. Hazel enjoyed gardening, line dancing, bowling for over fifty years on Tuesdays and Thursdays and most of all spending time with her family.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
