Karen Kemmann
Karen Kemmann, 77, of rural St. Marys passed away unexpectedly at her home in the evening on Monday, February 20, 2023.
Karen was born on September 26, 1945 to the late Vernon Nelson and Velma Ruth (Wilkins) Kemmann. Growing up on the farm around the St. Marys area, Karen and her siblings were always outside, often following their parents around helping with any sort of work they were capable of doing. She graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1963 before continuing her education at the North Western Business College (UNOH) in Lima. She acquired an associates degree at the business college before joining the workforce. Karen worked at Quinn's Paint Store in Lima for about a year. She was then employed at Goodyear in St. Mary's for over 30 years, working many different positions at Goodyear before finishing her career in the shipping department. Karen was an avid motorcycle enthusiast her entire life, with her first motorcycle being a Harley Davidson Super 10. She also enjoyed off roading on four wheelers and three wheelers. Karen had a great love for farming and didn't shy away from hard work. She was very handy, building the attached garage on her house and she didn't hesitate to tackle many remodeling projects in and around her home.
Karen is survived by her son, Davy Kemmann, rural Spencerville; grandson, Jeremy (Alexa) Kemmann, St. Marys; and a sister, Val Kemmann, St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
