Mary Adele Kunk, age 83, of St. Henry, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday evening, March 18, 2023, at The Gardens at St. Henry.

She was born June 29, 1939, in St. Henry, to the late Herbert & Bernadette (Borger) Laux. On October 30, 1965, she married Thomas Kunk. Tom survives in St. Henry.

Also surviving Mary are three children: Linda & Alan May of St. Henry, Rob & Patty Kunk of New Knoxville, Dan & Lynn Kunk of Coldwater, grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Daniel Hogenkamp, Payton, Logan, and Andrew Kunk, Paige & Blake Hancock, Jaime & Cory Czuk, Mariah & Pete Wellman, and Dakota Brunswick, seven step great grandchildren, as well as siblings and in-laws: John Laux of St. Henry, Robert & Roberta Laux of Cold Spring, KY, Anita Laux of Coldwater, and Mildred Osterfeld of Dayton.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Kunk, as well as siblings and in-laws: James Laux, Margaret Laux, Kathryn & Richard Clune, Ed Kunk, Elmer Kunk, and Henry Osterfeld.

Mary was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry. She was a homemaker who loved to read and sew. Mary also enjoyed crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles, gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow the services in the St. Henry Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 3:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, March 23, and from 9:00am - 10:00am on Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
