Dennis Kessler
Dennis Owen Kessler, known to most as "Denny," passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2023 at 11:39 p.m. at home on Sawmill Lake, rural Leesburg. He was 75 years old.
Born in Celina, OH on September 20, 1947, Denny was the son of Dale "Scoop" Kessler and Luella "Lu" (Lorton) Kessler. He spent his formative years in the Grand Lake area (Celina/St. Marys) and was a proud Celina HS Bulldog. Denny was united in marriage to Deb Mull on September 1, 1979; the pair shared nearly thirty years together before her passing on November 22, 2008.
He was also preceded in passing by daughter, Tracy Kessler and grandson, Zach Hamilton.
Those who survive include son, Justin (Jessica) Kessler of Syracuse; daughter, Chas Hamilton of Syracuse; seven grandchildren: Kayla Yates, Bailey Kessler, Cadin Kessler, Logan Kessler, Landen Kessler, Katelin VanMeter and Clarrisa Kruse; four great-grandchildren and brother, Larry (Connie) Kessler. He is also survived by three special friends: Pat Buckley, Carol Conley and Larry Watson.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a proud patriot. He was hardworking, family-focused and loved boating with his children, grandchildren and friends. He loved to laugh and had a good sense of humor. He was a member of American Legion Post 253 and spent more than 10 years drag racing, in which he was quite successful. He liked coffee, reading and time spent outdoors.
No public services are planned, the family is grieving privately.
