Soon the business became known as Fort Recovery Industries. Esther was a very active member of the Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene where she was a beloved Sunday School teacher. She spent many years supporting international missions in places such as Haiti, Honduras, Ecuador, and Africa. Up until her last year she was sewing bags to be distributed in various countries. Esther and George were key people in the early years of the development of Mount Vernon Nazarene College. She was an accomplished artist, poet, and published author.
Esther and George are survived by 7 children: Jeannine Warner (Richard deceased) of Chicago, Illinois, Wesley Jetter (Patti) of Greenville, Ohio, Paul Jetter (Mary) of Louisville, Tennessee, Dean Jetter (Margie) of Portland, Indiana, Elaine Rowland-Fisher (Chris deceased) of Pendleton, Indiana, Rebecca Sackash (Dan deceased) of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Stephen Jetter (Kathy) of Greenville, Ohio.
