Scott Livingston
Scott A. Livingston, age 64, of Coldwater passed away peacefully at his home in Coldwater, on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
He was born May 2, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James & Shirley (Bissell) Livingston. On July 25, 1980 he married Marlene (Nietfeld) Livingston and she survives in Coldwater.
Scott has four children, Karen & Adam Sudhoff of Coldwater, Jason & Kristina Livingston of Coldwater, Brian & Bethany Livingston of Maria Stein, and Chad Livingston of Coldwater; siblings and in-laws, Michael & Terry Livingston of Hudson, New Hampshire, Dwayne(d) Livingston, Dave(d) & Julie Livingston of Coldwater, Don(d) & Denise Livingston of Coldwater, Ralph & Sue Nietfeld of St. Henry, Linda & Albert Brackman of Coldwater, Ron & Cindy Nietfeld of New Bremen, Paul & Ann Nietfeld of Maria Stein, and Tom Nietfeld & Alice Luthman(d) of Russia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph Merdella Nietfeld of St. Henry.
Scott met his loving wife when they both got their first jobs at Brodbeck's Grocery store in Coldwater. Thirty years ago when the store closed for the holidays, he let his young kids run around playing tag and hide and seek. The kids have found memories of their dad playing with them.
He then became the owner of Scott's Carry-Out in Maria Stein where he met many new friends during 25 years of working in the Maria Stein community. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, motorcycle riding, and his yellow convertible, before he traded the car in and replaced it with Herkimer the golf cart, which was an excellent mode of transportation for grandpa and the grandkids to go get ice cream. He was proud of his racquetball playing accomplishments and the Black Belt he obtained in Karate.
Scott was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Coldwater American Legion, Coldwater V.F.W., and Coldwater Eagles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 31 from 3 pm to 8 pm and on Thursday from 9 am to 10 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
