Janyce Peck
Janyce E. Peck, 84, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born May 9, 1939 in Bloomsbury, New Jersey to the late Frank and Mary (Howell) Apgar. On April 15, 1961, she married Roy D. Peck and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2005.
Survivors include her children, Lynne Wehnes, Lewisburg, Tennessee, Dan (Amy) Peck, Fishers, Indiana, Meredith (Kirk) Steinke, Celina, Cyndi (Jody Boatright) Peck, Celina and D.J. Peck, Celina; brothers and sisters, Richard Apgar, New Jersey, Lori Apgar, Pennsylvania, Dennis (Kathy) Apgar, New Hampshire, Terry (Gary) Taylor, Delaware and Sherry (Frank) Curry, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren, Brittany, Travis, Brooke, Haley, Tristan, Caleb, Cameron, Jaxon, Brooklyn and Chance; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by, five brothers, Frank Apgar, Fred (Virginia) Apgar, Greg Apgar, Keith Apgar and Duane Apgar; and a sister-in-law, Karen Apgar.
Janyce was a 1957 graduate of Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Janyce worked most of her life as a homemaker, she opted not to work outside the home; instead, she devoted her work to supporting her family and caring for them with much pride.
She was a faithful mother and grandmother who affectionately looked forward to visits from her grandkids and instilled the love of life in them. She will be deeply missed by them all.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Celina. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church in Celina, with Rev. Nan Clancy officiating; where the family will receive friend from 9:30 am - 10:30 am prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
