Gregory Euckert
With a smile that could light up a room and a charisma that was simply infectious, Gregory Brian Euckert, born on May 8, 1947, in Sparta, WI, has embarked on his final journey, leaving his earthly home in Churubusco, on August 14, 2023, to the heartache of all who knew and loved him.
He was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve, whose laughter was the soundtrack of our lives, and whose witty one-liners, such as "I'm finer than a frog hair split 49 ways," will continue to bring a smile to our faces. Gregory, a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A loving father, supportive husband, and charismatic friend. In his heyday, Gregory was a sharpshooter, hitting the skeet and trap fields like a seasoned pro. He swung a golf club with the same passion he showed in his sales career, selling mobile homes with flair and finesse. Gregory work at CAPT for five years in Celina, Ohio, before he and his family moved to Churubusco, spending many blissful years making the town their home. He also worked as a yard cab driver for six years until his death with PTI, Rentzenberger, & Hallcon. Gregory dedicated his free time to the VFW Post 3846, American Legion 157, and the Sons of American Legion, always finding ways to serve his community.
He leaves behind a loving family: his beloved wife, Susan Euckert; his devoted children, Rich (Tami) Euckert, Jaime (Robert) Scribner, and Shana (Michael) Renner; his grandchildren, Kyle, Mara (Michael), Briana (Brandon), Alyson; and his great-grandchildren, Evey, Olivia, Emory, Sadie, and Maizey. Gregory also leaves behind his siblings, Randy Euckert, Deb Fetters, and Lisa Euckert; and several nieces and nephews.
He now reunites with his parents, Donald and Virginia Euckert; and his brother, Michael Euckert; and nephews, Mitch and Barry, who preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date. As we remember Gregory, let's not forget his words, "I'm finer than a frog hair split 49 ways." It was his unique way of saying life is precious, even in its smallest details. So, let's celebrate his life, the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the memories he left us with.
