Jayne Selby
On September 24, 2023, F. Jayne Blush Selby, 91, the youngest of seven siblings, joined them in eternal rest. The family was scattered from coast to coast throughout the years.
Florence Jayne Blush was born to William M. and Ruth Marie (Stewart) Blush on October 8, 1931 in Ohio City. Jayne is most excited to reunite with Roger G. Selby, the love of her life and husband of 56 years. They were married April 25, 1953. Both Jayne and Roger, best known as Chick and RG, retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
Jayne felt the best gift to her and Roger were their three children; Deborah K. Selby of Gillette, Wyoming, Steven A. Selby of Celina and Kathy J. Selby also of Celina. All three survive.
Jayne was preceded in death by her husband Roger, parents William M. and Ruth Marie Blush, siblings Christine (Don) Farlow, Richard (Bernice) Blush, George (Runelle) Blush, Marjorie (Roger) Arn-Jones, David (Jo) Blush, her twin brother Larry (Ruth Ann) Blush, brother-in-law Walter Arn and several nieces and nephews.
Celina High School athletics, Ohio State football, Bowling Green State University football and traveling were Jayne and Roger's primary interests. They were also very fond of their dogs Candy, Queenie, DeeDee and their granddogs. As a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Jayne participated in Bible Study and the book club. She baked cakes for funeral services at the church. Jayne was a 1949 graduate of Ohio City Liberty High School.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, with Vicar Andrea McDonough officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home and from 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. at the Church before services on Thursday.
