Parkway levy

ROCKFORD - Parkway Local Schools District voters will choose whether to renew a five-year, 1.5 mill permanent improvement tax levy on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Should voters decide to renew it, the levy would continue to collect $236,000 annually. The owner of a $100,000 home would continue to pay $53 per year, according to information provided by district treasurer Debbie Pierce. [More]
Wiedeman wins MAC boys XC after Heitkamp falls; Minster girls and Versailles boys team champs

COLDWATER - As it has in recent years, the boys race came down to a duel between Zach Wiedeman and Fort Recovery's Trevor Heitkamp, but this time, Wiedeman came out on top.
Heitkamp led all the way before falling late with Wiedeman closing in, and Wiedeman passed rode a late surge and a little luck to claim his first individual championship. [More]
