Bridgid Bergman
Bridgid Ann (Baltes) Bergman, age 94 of 3003 Cisco Rd, Sidney, OH 45365, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023 at 5:19 AM.
Ann was born on April 21, 1929 and raised in the rural area near Brock, Ohio to the late William and Clara (Bey) Baltes. On September 29, 1951 at Holy Family Church in Frenchtown, Ohio, Ann was married to Arthur Bergman who preceded her in death on July 13, 2017.
Surviving are seven of eight children (and spouses): Pat and Marilyn (Bergman) Tebbe, Steve Bergman, Stan Bergman, Rick and Sharon (Bergman) Kramer, Ken Bergman, Mitch and Terri (Davis) Bergman and Jim and Rebecca (Bergman) Schilling. 18 Grandchildren (and spouses): Jim and Christine (Tebbe) Loeffler, Jerry and Paulette (Tebbe) Meyer, Michael and Sarah (Tebbe) Albers, Ben and Susan (Tebbe) Ward, Brendan and Megan (Kramer) Harnish, Kevin Kramer, Kelly (Bergman) Annen, Jon Bergman, Jacob and Christina (Harness) Bergman, Matthew and Carissa (Cornell) Bergman, Mark and Kaitlyn (Wolters) Bergman, Kyle and Heidi (Bergman) Anderson, Benjamin and Rebecca (Lemon) Bergman, Brad Bergman, Shannon Bergman, Travis and Janelle (Bergman) Nichols, Nathan and Lee Schilling, along with 34 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Norman Magoto of Centerville, Ohio as well as sister-in-law Barbara Winner of Osgood Ohio, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 7 siblings (and spouses): Paul and Esther (Mangen) Baltes, James and Mary (Baltes) Trentman, Peter and Rose (Rietz) Baltes, Miss Rose Baltes, William and Margaret Jane (Baltes) O'Brian, William and Rita (Kemper) Baltes and Patricia (Baltes) Magoto of Centerville, Ohio, a daughter Cynthia Jane Bergman and in-laws and spouses: Herbert & Velma Bergman, Lester & Wilma Bergman & her second husband Lester Wynk, Vigil Bergman, Evelyn & Fred Kunkler, Vereena & Vitales Grilliot.
A 1947 graduate of Versailles High School, Ann continued studies at St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, Coldwater Mercy Hospital in Mercer County, Ohio.
  Her husband was in the US Army, and she accompanied him to Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas and worked at House of God Hospital. She also went to Washington State when Art was stationed at Camp Hanford, Washington. She worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, Washington and had her daughter Marilyn there. She and her husband came home to Sharpsburg, Ohio before he was stationed in Korea.
She worked at Coldwater Mercy Hospital again. Later she worked at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio and Dorothy Love Retirement Community which she retired from in 1991. She was employed as a registered nurse for 41 years. Ann was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Lady's Sodality in McCartyville, Ohio. Ann and Art raised 8 children.
She enjoyed cooking, baking pies and home-made bread and playing euchre. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and visiting with her family and friends.
Friends and relatives may attend a viewing Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, Ohio on November 17, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM and at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville on November 18, 2023 from 9 to 10 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
