He was a 1955 graduate of New Bremen High School and after graduation, he joined the United States Army where he served from 1955-1957. He was deeply rooted in the life in New Bremen as he served on the New Bremen/German Twp. Fire Dept. for many years, served two terms as a village councilman, and was a member of the New Bremen American Legion. He had worked briefly for Crown Equipment Corp. after high school before going on to work as a machinist at the former STAMCO and later for Thieman Stamping where he was a foreman and special tool maker. Stan enjoyed playing golf and bowling, photography and playing softball for the Hotel Bar team in his younger days. He and Rosie enjoyed their trips to Hawaii and spending time with their family and wide circle of friends. Above all else, Stan will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor and his ability to fix absolutely anything. Stan lived a long, full life and in his last days was ready to join his wife Rosie, who he missed terribly, and his best friend Robert Wilson in heaven.
