Bonita Dippold
Bonita (Bonnie) E. Dippold, age 73 of St. Sebastian, Ohio, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones.     
She was born on November 20, 1950 in Celina to the late Vincent & Viola (Moeller) Ontrop. She married Dale Dippold on October 21, 1972 at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry. Her husband Dale survives in St. Sebastian.
Bonnie is also survived by her children: Kurt & Jacci (Spencer) Dippold of St. Sebastian, Kevin & Nancy (Evers) Dippold of Coldwater, Kraig Dippold of St. Sebastian, and Tammy & Justin Dues of Coldwater. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Derek, Trent, & Gibson Dues, Thaddeus, Noah, Hayden, & Charlotte Dippold, three step-grandsons: Caleb, Luke, & Isaac Spencer. Surviving siblings and in-laws include Marilyn & John Clune of New Bremen, Don & Mary (Good) Ontrop of Burkettsville, Ron & Kathy (Stammen) Ontrop of St. Henry, Bob & Katie (Heyne) Dippold of Cassella, Marg & Jim Bruns of Coldwater, Gary Dippold of Cassella, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Cy & Flora (Hemmelgarn) Dippold, in-laws John & Barb (Dippold) Moeller, infant niece Denise Clune, and nephew Scott Dippold.
Bonnie was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in St. Sebastian, Ohio, as well as the Ladies Sodality at the church. She was a lay distributor for the homebound and nursing homes. She taught religion for many years. She served on the Funeral and Bereavement Ministry committee. Bonnie was a 1969 graduate of St. Henry High School. She worked at Marion Local High School, and as a nurse's aide in the infirmary at St. Charles Seminary for 25 years at both. She served as a board member at Tri-Star Career Compact. Her favorite pastime was going with her husband to dances. She helped her husband on the farm, enjoyed sending greetings cards to friends and family, and loved gardening/flowers and canning. She liked to travel and watch her grandkids sporting events and school activities. Bonnie will be remembered as a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother with a passion for helping others.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Burial in St. Sebastian Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, January 29, and from 9-9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
