Karl Grossman
Dr. Karl Grossman Jr., beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the community of Otterbein in Cridersville, Ohio passed away at the age of 88 on May 8, 2024 at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Born in 1936 in Greenville, Ohio, to Mary (Singer) and Karl Grossman, he dedicated his life to serving others, both through his profession and his devotion to his family.
As a devoted husband to his surviving wife, Marian (Ebersole) Grossman, he exemplified the true meaning of partnership and love. Together, they shared 64 years of memories and faithful support.
He is survived by his son Craig and Cindi (Brock) Grossman, and their children Karl Grossman and Tilor Shirley, and by his son Brian and Lori (Wise) Grossman, along with their sons Trevor and Tyler (Jasmine) Grossman. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but his love will continue to guide them.
Professionally, he was a dedicated dentist who served the community of Coldwater, Ohio, for 37 years. He graduated from Wittenberg University in 1960 and then pursued his dental degree at the Ohio State University. His commitment to excellence and compassionate care touched the lives of countless patients, earning him respect and admiration throughout the community.
He was a faithful member of Grace Missionary Church in Celina, Ohio and his faith and dedication were evident in every aspect of his life. Upon his retirement, he and Marian settled in Celina, Ohio, where they enjoyed 17 years of blissful retirement together before moving into Otterbein Senior Life in Cridersville, Ohio.
Whether spending time with family, rooting on the Cleveland Browns, or cheering for Mark Martin, his favorite NASCAR driver, he enjoyed every moment spent with Marian by his side. Karl Grossman Jr. will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and strong faith. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Grace Missionary Church, Celina, with Pastor Shawn Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Graveside services will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
