Two area girls in Miss Ohio field

MANSFIELD - One area young woman was crowned Miss Ohio's Teen in Mansfield on Wednesday while two others are vying for the Miss Ohio title on Saturday.
Allie Gray of Celina won the coveted Miss Ohio's Teen title and a $2,500 scholarship award. Gray, who was crowned Miss Lake Festival Outstanding Teen 2024, competed against 11 contestants, including Monica Hemmelgarn of Coldwater, Mackenzie Harmer of St. Henry and Reyna Hume of Wapakoneta. [More]

  A 21-year-old Coldwater man died following a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon in northwest Auglaize County.
Robert J. Kahlig was driving a 2021 Honda Insight eastbound on Kossuth Amanda Road, near Kossuth Loop Road, in Logan Township when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert at about 12:27 p.m., according to a news release from the Wapakoneta Post of the State Highway Patrol.
