Coldwater school district seeks levy

COLDWATER - Voters in the Coldwater Exempted Village Schools district will see a five-year, additional 0.5% traditional income tax on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

The levy would bump up the existing 0.5% traditional income tax to 1%.

The 0.5% traditional income tax levy was first passed by voters in 1999 and currently generates about $1 million annually, according to school treasurer Jenn McCoy. [More]

New Knoxville school district seeks levy

NEW KNOXVILLE - Voters in the New Knoxville School district will see an additional 6.5-mills property tax levy on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

The permanent levy, if passed, would bring in $587,000 annually that would go toward general improvements. It would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $228 a year, according to the ballot language. [More]
