* WHERE...Western Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio... North Central Shelby County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 1015 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 714 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, St. Henry, Rockford, New Knoxville, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, Maria Stein, State Route 116 at State Route 197 and Chattanooga.

At 709 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Ohio City, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Chattanooga, Kossuth, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, and Bulkhead.

Betty Simons
Betty Ann Simons, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne.
Born in Van Wert, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late W. Isaiah and Blanch (Ashbaugh) Miller. She was a past member of New Haven United Methodist Church. She was an administrative assistant in the education department at IPFW for over 30 years and was a member of the Kekionga Professional Women's Business Club. She was also a member of the Mary Penrose Wayne Chapter NSDAR since 2011.
Betty enjoyed nature, the outdoors, genealogy, basket weaving, painting, and drawing.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mae and Pauline Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ron in 1991; and siblings, Glenn, Ray, and Wayne Miller, and Alice Henry.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Mendon First Church of God, 102 Wayne St., Mendon, Ohio, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Mendon Cemetery, Mendon, Ohio.
