Special Weather Statement issued January 8 at 8:03PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Snow showers found along a northwest to southeast line are tracking over the same areas this evening. A quick quarter to half inch of snow will make for potentially dangerous driving conditions, especially as temperatures drop this evening and overnight. Visibilities will also decrease to under a mile in some places, creating another hazard to area commuters. As of 8:00 this evening, this line runs roughly from Wapakoneta, to Bellefontaine. Another line extends from Delaware to Pataskala and then south to Baltimore. This includes the northeastern suburbs of Columbus. Additional accumulations may be found later this evening if similar lines of showers continue to develop.
