Wanda Baker
Wanda Kay Baker, 86, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville. Born on September 5, 1938, in Yorkshire, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late Warren P. and Merna L. (Hess) Seman. She shared a wonderful life with her husband, Gary A. Baker, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2001.
Wanda was a proud 1956 graduate of Versailles High School and dedicated more than 40 years of service to FRAM Group in Greenville before retiring. She found joy and comfort in her faith as a devoted listener to the online services of Calvary Christian Fellowship in St. Marys every Sunday.
An avid lover of life's simple pleasures, Wanda enjoyed evening golf cart rides at Kozy Campground in Montezuma, fishing, garage sales, and exploring flea markets. Known for her warm and caring nature, she cultivated countless friendships over the years. Yet, her greatest pride and joy came from her family, especially her children, who will forever cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
Wanda is survived by her children, Robin (John) Hess of Greenville, Cathy Robison of Greenville, Rusty (Rose) Whittaker of Versailles, and Shawna (John) Tobens of Celina. She was a beloved grandmother to 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Fields of Union City and Pauline Albritton of Versailles.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, James "Jimmy" A. Seman, and her brothers-in-law, Robert Baker and Bill Albritton.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Wanda's life during a visitation on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor James Sweigart. Wanda will be laid to rest at Ellis Cemetery in Montezuma.
In honor of Wanda's faith and dedication, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Calvary Christian Fellowship in St. Marys.
