Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Cheryl Bernard
Cheryl A. "Cheri" Bernard, age 67 of Minster, Ohio, died on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born on March 30, 1957 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Frederick "Fritz" & Betty (Hogan) Giere. She married William Bernard on July 14, 1979 at Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater, Ohio. He survives in Minster.
She is also survived by children: Ryan & Courtney Bernard, Minster, Kristy & EJ Theller, Westerville, Stacy & Adam Kaiser, West Chester, Austin, Minster, 6 grandchildren: Kinley and Asher Bernard, Brynn & Hadley Theller, Paxton & Ivy Kaiser, brothers & sisters: Marlene Easterlin, Perrysburg, Rick & Marilyn Giere, Celina, Cindy & Roger Brockman, Coldwater, Linda & Ed Knapke St. Henry, Karl & Deb Giere, Dan & Kathy Giere, Larry Giere, Randy & Cindy Giere, Nick & Lynn Giere, Neal & Lisa Giere, all of Coldwater, in-laws: Gary & Marge Bernard, Viera, FL, Bob & Jeanne Bernard, Zionsville, IN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Cheri enjoyed BINGO, being a homemaker, trips to Norris Lake but she loved babysitting and traveling to see her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Association for Down Syndrome at nads.org.
