* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Mary Ann Garman
Mary Ann (Long) Garman, age 88, of Chickasaw, died Friday, August 22, 2025 at her home in Chickasaw.
She was born on January 10, 1937 in Wapakoneta to the late Carl & Alena (Borges) Long. On May 22, 1982 in Wapakoneta, she married Virgil Garman and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends, Tom & Karen Hess of Chickasaw.
She is also preceded by siblings, Harold Long, Gerald Long, Ida Lou Harrod, Delbert Long, Phyllis Kessen, and Charles Long, and in-laws, Veronica Schmitz, Rita Green, Victor Garman, Matilda Garman, Alvira Clark, Norbert Garman, Margaret Weaver, Charles Garman, Barbara Rammel, Richard Garman, Sam Garman, and Patricia Stachler.
Mary Ann was strong in her faith as a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw. She formerly worked at the Wapakoneta Handle Factory and Superior Metal in Wapakoneta. She was a member of the Chickasaw VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Maria Stein Retreat House. Mary Ann enjoyed crocheting, pulling weeds from her garden and loved the many fur babies over the years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 27, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 26 from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Wednesday from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
