Parkway senior Bryn Schoenleben, center, will attend Edison State Community College this fall and play softball for the Chargers.
ROCKFORD - For Parkway's Bryn Schoenleben, continuing her softball career at a school close to home while having an eye on development was key as the Parkway standout is set to play at Edison State Community College after finishing her senior year.
"I went on a couple of visits over the fall and winter, and it came down to the coaches," Schoenleben said at her signing day. "I met the coaches and the team and got to work out with them, which was really cool."
The senior will look to finish her Parkway career on top. She ended her junior year with an impressive 13-3 record with a 2.27 ERA and 66 strikeouts, while hitting over .400 from the plate en route to a Northwest District second team selection.
Schoenleben, who will study nursing, will look to help the Chargers after they finished a strong 2025 season at 24-10, with a 10-2 mark in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. They are led by coach Miranda Huddle, who will coach her third season in 2026. She has led the Chargers to two NJCAA Regional Tournaments and was OCCAC coach of the year in 2025.
Schoenleben also hopes to advance past the NJCAA ranks when her time at the Piqua-based school is up.
"I'm looking forward to coming in off a big senior season, then going into college to work hard and hopefully transferring out after that and going to a school for two more years," Schoenleben said.
