Martha Zahn
Martha Jean Zahn, 86, of Celina, Ohio was called back to Heaven to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on January 31, 2026 at 10:14 am. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Edward H. and Pauline C. (Shockman) Geier, and her twin sister, Mary Jane (Geier) Zahn.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Zahn, Jr., 2 sons and wives, Robert (Nicole Leugers) and Richard III (Sarah Myers), and 5 grandchildren, Sophia Grace, Isabella Rose, Nicholas Robert, Dana Jean Abigail, and Lanna Catherine Martha Zahn, all of Coldwater. Jean is also survived by her brother-in-law Dennis Zahn (Jane's husband) and their 2 Children, Lori (Mike) Salyor of Celina and Lynn (John) Westerfield of St. Marys.
Jean was born on December 16, 1939, in Dayton, and was married on October 23, 1967 in Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Bubb.Above all, Jean loved her family. Jean loved her sons and all their accomplishments and had immense pride in and kept busy with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren excel academically (with 3 in the National Honor Society), and athletically, in cross country, soccer, softball, and track and field (with many conference, district, and state accolades), as well as 4-H success. For the past 40 years, Jean could always be found in the rabbit barn during the Mercer County fair.
Jean loved Elvis Presley, the New York Yankees, fishing for catfish and scrapbooking. She was a huge Notre Dame fan and was always eager to attend a football game. Jean was always up for an adventure and loved traveling. She was a gregarious person and became fast friends with lots of people, including becoming acquaintances with Lou Holtz.
Jean was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Montezuma, and Mercer County Senior Citizens, a card club and a craft club. Jean enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She retired from the Celina Insurance Group and worked for the Home Bakery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Coldwater Athletic Department or the Mercer County Junior Fair.

Private grave services will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. The Hogenkamp funeral home is handling the arrangements.
