Sharon Eilerman
Sharon "Shari" Susan Eilerman, age 64, of Monterey Drive, Fort Loramie, passed away suddenly, along with her mother, Sue, from injuries in an automobile accident on the morning of August 3, 2026, at the intersection of Dawson Road & St. Rt. 47 near Sidney, Ohio. She was born July 16, 1962, to the late Thomas Sr. & Susan (Botkin) Eilerman.
She is survived by two of four siblings: Thomas & Denise Eilerman of Fort Loramie, Kevin & Jill Eilerman of Fort Loramie, Timothy (dec.) & Marcia Eilerman & Alan (dec.) Mescher of Osgood and Constance (dec.) & Donald Seger of Piqua; 11 of 13 nieces and nephews: Zachary (dec.), Veronica, Clayton and Heather Eilerman, Tony and Josh (dec.) Eilerman, Katie & Aaron McCollum, Nichole Schmitz, Shawn & Andrea Eilerman and Mitchell Eilerman, Brad & Amy Seger, Michele & Dan Oman and DJ Seger & Danielle Griffith; 13 great nieces and great nephews as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Shari was a 1980 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She then went on to Miami University in Oxford to acquire a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education. Over the years, she also maintained various CPR and EMT instruction certifications. Shari retired from the Shelby County Sheriff's office where she was primarily a dispatcher for 25 years. She had also been a substitute teacher for local schools and an EMT instructor. Additionally, she often helped with administrative bookwork at various emergency squads in the area.
Shari was a member of St. Michael Church where she had been a cantor and was also active in the choir and bell choir. She belonged to St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, the Fort Loramie Legion Auxiliary (past president). She served as secretary for the Fort Loramie Historical Association, sang with the Senior Center Singers and was an Honor Member (past active member) of the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad. Years ago, she had been an "Old Time 4th of July" parade and committee volunteer. In her leisure, Shari loved to travel, especially cruises with family and friends.
Sharon and Sue's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Monday, August 10, 2026, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Mark Bredestege and Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Sunday, 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or the Fort Loramie Historical Association.
