Robert Logan Kline, age 81 of Wooster, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at West View Healthy Living in Wooster of declining health issues. He was born in Orrville, Ohio on October 12, 1944 to Martin Paul Kline Sr. and Ilabelle (Mangle) Kline.

Robert is survived by his son, Curtis (Jodi)Kline, Coldwater, Ohio and Chad (Kelly) Kline of Wooster, Ohio; former spouse and mother of his children Mary (Kopp) Kline, Wooster, Ohio; brother, Walter (Barb) Kline, Loudonville; sister Nancy (Jan) Stouffer, Loudonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Martin Paul Kline Jr. and brother-in-law Jan Stouffer.

Robert generally went by "Bob" or "Bobby" to friends and family. He was raised on the family farm with his siblings in the hills of western Holmes County about five miles south of Loudonville.

He attended Loudonville High School through the tenth grade, and then moved on to working on the family farm and pipe lining before enlisting in the United States Army in 1967. He proudly served his country for five years, including a year in Vietnam and in the Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1973.

After his time in the service, Bob and his former wife, Mary, eventually moved to the Shreve, Ohio area, raising their sons. He worked for over 25 years in construction as a general laborer, most of these years with Bogner Construction from where he retired.

Bob enjoyed sports and the outdoors. He was a fan of professional boxing and high school and college wrestling.  He was also a big fan of Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steelers football. He was a simple man who didn't need much. He was known to work hard but also play hard and could be described as ornery and fun to those who knew him.  Some of the many traits he and Mary instilled in their sons were a great work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.

In his retired years, Bob enjoyed mowing grass at his son's cabin, on part of the old family farm, playing pull tickets at the Loudonville American Legion, where he had an uncanny knack of winning as long as he sat in his "lucky chair" at the bar. He was also fond of giving friends and family rides and tours of the back roads of Holmes County on a Polaris Ranger. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren: Nick, Maddie, Megan, and Jake. He was supportive in their endeavors and took great pride in them.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 3-4 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home in Loudonville, with a service immediately at 4 p.m. Military Honors will be performed following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's honor can be made to Ohio's Hospice (Wooster Region) or Loudonville American Legion Post 257.
