Rita Jones
St. Henry native Rita Mary Jones, a one-year resident of Breenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, died at 9:35 a.m. Oct. 18, 2006, at the center.
She was born June 23, 1924, in St. Henry, to Julius R. and Anna Winklejohn Moeder. She married Paul W. Jones, who is deceased.
Survivors are a son, Richard (Mary), Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Carol (Michael) Schnipper, Oxford; six brothers, Norbert (Roberta) Moeder, Dayton, Jerry (Marilyn) Moeder, Englewood, Leander (Jeanette) Moeder, Maria Stein, Richard Moeder, Victor (Rose Mary) Moeder and Charles Moeder, all of St. Henry; three sisters, Marcella (Aloys) Larger, Dayton, Ruth (Fred) Krebs, Orlando, Fla., and Rose Ann (Roger) Siefring, Coldwater; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary and Sister Mary Julian Moeder.
She retired in 1988 from the outpatient business office at the former St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She also was a homemaker; worked as a bookkeeper and administrative associate jobs at Dayton Oil Company and Builder's Insulation Company, Centerville; and was a bus driver for Carousel House Nursery School.
She was a 1942 graduate of St. Henry High School. She and her husband were founding members of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Kettering, where for over 30 years she sang in its choir. She was a founder of its Retiree Card Club.
Funeral Mass was 10:30 a.m. Oct. 21, 2006, at the church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
