During the predawn hours, winds will increase ahead of a low pressure system moving east through the lower Great Lakes. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through this afternoon, possibly gusting to 45 mph in a few spots. Wind is expected to decrease overnight but remain relatively strong at 20-25 mph this evening.
Please be aware of these strong winds especially if driving a higher profile vehicle. Secure loose outdoor objects and shore up seasonal decorations if possible.

Jeff Harden
Former Versailles resident Jeff Scott Harden, 40, of Mountain Lake, Minn., died Oct. 24, 2006, at Mountain Lake. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born April 20, 1966, in Greenville. His father, James Champ, survives in Fort Recovery, and his mother, Ann Marchal Link, survives in Versailles. His stepfather, Alvin Harden, survives in Indiana, and his stepmother, Peg Champ, survives in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa, Canton; three brothers, Daniel McCarty, Bradford, Lee Link, Versailles, and Zachary Champ, Fort Recovery; and four sisters, Deanna Davis and Christy Hunt, both of Greenville, Jodie Black, New Weston, and Rebecca Mincer, of Georgia.
Deceased are a stepfather, Wilford Link; and a brother, Bill McCarty.
He was a tool and die maker at Bolzer Inc., Mountain Lake.
Services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 30, 2006, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, the Rev. David Vincent officiated. Burial was at Ansonia Cemetery.
