Norbert Puthoff
Norbert A. Puthoff, 89, of Day Road, Versailles, died at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 21, 2006, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1917, in St. Patrick, to Clemens H. and Frances Siegel Puthoff. On Sept. 8, 1944, he married Alfrieda F. Poeppelman, who survives.
Other survivors are five sons, Thomas, Dayton, David (Karen), Fort Mills, S.C., Frank (Cara), Kettering, and Richard and Steven (Marlene), Versailles; three daughters, Karen (Richard) Drees, Versailles, Mary Jane Johnson, Dayton, and Brenda (Steven) Heirholzer, Sidney; a brother, Lawrence, Sidney; a sister, Rosella Mason, Piqua; two sisters-in-law, Helen, Dayton, and Norma, Fort Loramie; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Clarence, Bernard, Urban and Wilbur; and a son-in-law, Thomas Johnson.
He was a retired farmer and member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and its men's sodality. He also was a Patterson Township trustee for 16 years, serving until 1970.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. David L. Zink officiating. Burial is at St. Martin's Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 4-9 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
