Harold Joseph Vogel, 87, 703 Lilac Drive, Coldwater, died at 7:14 p.m. Jan. 21, 2007, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.

He was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Coldwater, to Jacob and Elizabeth Spoltman Vogel. On April 12, 1947, he married Mildred Bohman Vogel, who survives.

Also surviving are five sons, Rob (Marilyn), Coldwater, Tom and Terry (Martha), all of Celina, Jeff (Anne), Powell, and Michael (Tara), North Manchester, Ind.; three daughters, Pamela, Coldwater, Patricia (Les) Quinter, Celina, and Linda (Bob) Cummins, Bradford; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a brother and four sisters.

He was a retired postal carrier and veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and American Legion Post 470, both of Coldwater.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
