At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Max Butcher
Max E. Butcher, 74, 1589 West 550 North, Bryant, Ind., died Feb. 14, 2007, at the Jay County Hospital, Portland, Ind.
He was born April 7, 1932, in Jay County, to Homer and Myrtle Crabill Butcher. In 1952, he married Martha Noble, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark, Pennville, Ind., and Michael, Bryant; six daughters, Wanda (Roger) Downs and Patty (Jerry) Meinerding, all of Bryant, Judy (Timothy) Simon, Olivet, Mich., Diane Shreeve, Amy (Harold Dean) Craig and Lori (Reuben) Theurer, all of Portland; a brother, Homer Jr., Portland; three sisters, Iva Brotherton and Frances Goss, both of Bryant, and Katherine Wood, Greenwood, Ind.; and 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was retired from Sheller-Globe and was a farmer.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, the Rev. Paul Van Cise officiating. Burial is at Gravel Hill Cemetery, West of Bryant.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
