Raymond Puthoff
Raymond H. Puthoff, 85, 3856 state Route 119, St. Henry, died Feb. 23, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born June 22, 1921, in Maria Stein, to Anthony and Frances (Leugers) Puthoff. On Sept. 25, 1948, he was married in Philothea to Agnes Kaup, who survives.
Also surviving are 11 sons, David and Mary, St. Marys; Frank and Patricia, Kenneth and Debra, James and Cheryl, Ronald and Joan, Kevin and Ann and Jeffrey, all of St. Henry; Donald and Teresa, Columbus; Gregory and Jenifer, Rockford; Michael, Atlanta, Ga., and Randal and Ann, Delaware; four daughters, Kathryn and Carl Hart, Nancy and Susan, all of St. Henry, and Virgina (Douglas) Seitz, Coldwater; a brother, Merinus (Alice), Maria Stein; a brother-in-law, Cyril Link, Burkettsville; 34 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Henry, Norb, Richard and Othmar and two sisters, Eleanor Fortman and Pauline Link.
He was a World War II veteran, serving with the Army Air Corps, and had worked as a general foreman at Avco New Idea Corp., Coldwater. He was a past school board member at St. Henry Schools, member of the Maria Stein American Legion and memer of St. Henry Catholic Church. He served on the parish council during the building of the St. Henry Catechetical Center.
Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Graveside military rites will be performed by the Maria Stein American Legion.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
