At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Bertha Maurer
Bertha M. Maurer, 95, formerly of Main Street, Fort Loramie, died at 8 a.m. April 1, 2007, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney.
She was born March 30, 1912, in Fort Loramie, to Frank and Rose Cardo Larger. On July 16, 1932, she married Edison A. Maurer, who died Sept. 4, 1990.
Surviving are four sons, Tom (Kathy), Paul (Joan) and Jim (Madeline), all of Fort Loramie, and John (Sandy) Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Doris Jean (Matt) Zimmerman, Fort Loramie, and Mary Angela (Cory) Siddall, Newport, Ky.; two brothers, Ralph Larger, Minster, and Raymond (Virginia) Larger, Fort Loramie; a sister, Freda Moeller, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Gold, Sidney; 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; a step grandchild and a great-great-granddaughter.
Deceased are two sisters, Esther Gaier and Dorothy Geise; and a brother, Clarence Larger.
She was a beautician for 50 years and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and its St. Ann Rosary and Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
