Vinola Puthoff
Vinola "Vi" Puthoff, 90, 328 E. Livingston St., Celina, died at 9:40 p.m. March 31, 2007, at the Miller House.
She was born April 26, 1916, in St. Henry, to Charles and Clara Tobe Hemmelgarn. On April 19, 1941, she married Russell Puthoff, who died Nov. 12, 1968.
Surviving are a son, David (C.J.), Celina; three daughters, Denise (Ted) Laux and Diana (Keith)) Moran, all of Celina, and Jeanette, Kissimmee, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Rita, Celina; a brother, Donald (Shirley) Hemmelgarn, Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Alfreda Meinhardt, Celina, and Delma (Pete) Ellis, Kissimmee, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Florence Weeks, St. Henry; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Daniel and Johnny; five brothers, Clarence, Alphonse, Wilford, Oscar and Charles; and two sisters, Cleophia Weber and Margaret Hemmelgarn.
She worked at Charlie's Bakery for 35 years, was a farm wife and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Altar Rosary Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
