Local school districts set new cell phone policies

The advances in cell phone capabilities have caused a number of headaches for area school administrators.
The Daily Standard has learned most school districts now have cell phone policies, some allowing cell phones in the buildings, but they must be turned off and out of sight, while others strictly prohibit them from being brought into school. [More]
Authorities found the bodies of an elderly woman and her son at their Fort Recovery home Friday night after a concerned friend reported seeing neither of them for several days.

A Shelby County man was to be arraigned this morning in Sidney Municipal Court on charges of aggravated murder, rape and kidnapping in connection with the death of an elderly Fort Loramie woman. Heavy security was expected to be in place for the proceeding.
Robert Boggs, newly-appointed director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA), said he wants to tour Grand Lake and may attend the annual legislative day on the lake sponsored by the private Lake Development Corporation (LDC).
