Celina saw a five-run lead disapear in short order as Elida scored six times in the third inning to come away with a 9-6 Western Buckeye League win at Ed Sandy Field on Tuesday.
With the Western Buckeye League meet just over two weeks away, Celina hosted a pair of other top teams in the league for a trimeet.
The Celina women came away from the meet with a convincing win with 94 points while St. Marys was a distant second with 47 with Shawnee with 34. [More]
ST. HENRY - For the Coldwater Cavaliers, there was a great deal on the line Tuesday afternoon as they played the St. Henry Redskins in Midwest Athletic Conference action at the Wally Post Athletic Complex.
MINSTER - It was perfect weather for the Minster Memorial and while the St. Henry boys defeated New Bremen and defending champion Minster, the Minster girls reclaimed the other portion of the title, outpointing second-place Versailles and third-place Delphos St. John's.
