Dorothy J. 'Dot' Heidt, 75, 2119 Deerfield Court, St. Marys, died at 8:30 p.m. June 14, 2007, at Liberty Retirement Community in Centerville.

She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in St. Marys, to Clem and Mary Frederick Nuse. On Sept. 9, 1951, she married Melvin Heidt, who died on May 28, 2003.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (James) Heintz, Centerville; a sister, Marjorie (John) Steva, Waverly; and a granddaughter.

She was a financial secretary for more than 25 years at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys. She was a 1950 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, the Rev. Patrick McKinney officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
