Edward Pleiman Jr.
Edward J. Pleiman Jr., 59, 1802 Stelzer Road, Maria Stein, died at 10:20 a.m. June 14, 2007, at University Hospital, Cincinnati. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born March 16, 1948, to Edward Sr. and Margaret Schafer Pleiman, who are both deceased. On Oct. 3, 1970, he married Linda A. Moeller, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Todd (Kelly), Dayton; three daughters, Amy (Paul) Knapke and Gail and Kelly, all of Maria Stein; three brothers, James (Joan), Maria Stein, Nicholas (Rosie), Celina, and Jerome (Jan), Dayton; seven sisters, Mary Dahlinghaus and Teresa (Bill) Winner, all of Maria Stein, Helen Grogean and Ellen (John) Grillot, all of Versailles, Dolores (Bob) Van Leeuwen, Dayton, Sister Grace Mariam, New York City, N.Y., and Johanna (Charlie) Koesters, Coldwater; and five grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant sister, Irene.
He worked at Robert Winner Sons for 25 years, was employed by Serenity Music, was co-owner of PEM Turkey Farms and owned and operated Pleiman Landscaping in Cassella. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella, where he was a lector and usher and member of the Men's Sodality of the church. He also was a member of the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein; Catholic Knights of America, Cassella; and a member of the Marion Band and Athletic Boosters.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial is at the Cassella church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
