Richard F. Garwick, 69, 917 Echo St., Celina, died at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 25, 2007, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.

He was born March 19, 1938, in Mercer County, to Ernest and Louetta Kendall Garwick. In May 1957, he married Janice VanTilburg, who survives.

Other survivors are a son, Dean (Valerie), Salem; two daughters, Teresa (David) Butler, Noblesville, Ind., and Laura Griffis, Hampton, Va.; two brothers, Dan, Los Angeles, and Keith, Bluffton, Ind.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Deceased is a grandson.

He retired as a workshop director at Cheryl Ann Industries. A 1956 graduate of Celina High School, he attended Wright State University. He was a member of Celina First Church of God, where he was an elder, Sunday school teacher, member of the worship life board and a coach for the Bible quiz team.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
