Norval Hole
Norval W. Hole, 86, 1773 Mud Pike, Celina, died Jan. 4, 2008, at 5:30 a.m. at his daughter's residence in Celina.
He was born Feb . 12, 1921 in Mercer County to Jacob W. and Rilla (Fisher) Hole. On June 1, 1946 he was married to Dorothy M. Vonderhyde, who preceded him in death Feb. 28, 2007.
Surviving is a son, Gary (Linda), Celina; one daughter, Donna (Doug) Klosterman, Celina; one sister, Ruth Smith, Andrews, Ind.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant sister, Marilyn Jean Hole and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Lucille Hole.
He served in the US Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds, Celina, after 25 years of service and also had worked for many years as a well driller.
An avid sportsman, he was a member of the National Rifle Association and Fort Recovery Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515. He also was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
