Carl Perin
Carl M. Perin, 87, 111A Liberty Way, Fort Loramie, died at 7:05 p.m. Jan. 22, 2008, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born July 30, 1920, in Newport to John and Mary Moorman Perin. On June 26, 1946, he married Esther Eilerman, and she survives in Fort Loramie.
Other survivors are four daughters, Janice Bruns (David Ware), Jackson Center, Judy (James) Monnier, Indianapolis, Ind., Jackie (Richard) Siefring, Beavercreek, and Jeanne Maurer, Toledo; a brother, Rev. Glen Perin, West Milton; three sisters, Virginia Forthofer, Russia, Eileen (Ralph) Boerger, New Bremen, and Rosalie (Robert) DeLoye, Yorkshire; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers, Mike and Paul; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Forthofer.
He retired from Monarch Machine Tool Company in Sidney and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. in the European Theater during WWII and a member of the American Legion, Fort Loramie. In 1938, he graduated from Russia High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Steven Shoup and Glen Perin officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Full military graveside honors will be by the American Legion, Fort Loramie.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
