Wilma Platfoot
Wilma Platfoot, 88, 206 Cherry Lane, Anna, died at 1:35 a.m. April 5, 2008, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Cassella to Henry and Anna Harting Boeke. On Feb. 27, 1943, she married Herbert S. Platfoot, who died March 8, 1963.
Survivors are five sons, William (Angela), Tipp City, John (Rosemary Mattson), Kingston, Tenn., Duane of Anna and Richard (Joyce) and Steve, all of Botkins; five daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" (Henry) Harshbarger, Sidney, Phyllis (Roy) Lea, Canton, Ga., Diane (Terry) Billing, Anna, Constance "Connie" (Doug) Bisher, Springfield, and Sharon (Rick) Staley, Huber Heights.; a sister-in-law, Theola Raterman, Dayton; 38 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Carol, four brothers, Julian, Sylverius, Faustin, and Elmer; three sisters, Leona, Clementine and Frederica; and a grandson.
She worked for Yeasel, Inc. until 1984 and was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and its Rosary Alter Sodality, McCartyville.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
