* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Kathryn Porter
Kathryn E. Porter, 92, of Delphos, died at 8:10 a.m. Sept. 1, 2008, at her daughter's residence.      She was born July 30, 1916, in Findlay, to Robert and Grace A. Barnt Rinard. On June 3, 1936, she married Robert Porter, who died Oct. 8, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Edward, Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Susan (George) Valiquette, Troy, and Becky (Paul) Koesters, Celina; a sister, Betty Lou Hoverman, Largo, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Marcile Rinard, Van Wert; 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, James; and a grandson.
She retired in 1978 from the appliance center at Sears. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and The Garden Club, all of Delphos.
Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, the Rev. Dave Howell officiating. Burial is at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.
Calling is 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice of Mercer County or the church.
