Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Darrel Laffin
Darrel Wayne "Doc" Laffin, 65, of 638 Hoying St., Celina, died at 8 a.m. Sept. 28, 2008, at his residence. Death was due to acute cardio arrest.
He was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Celina, to Dwight K. and Minnie F. Brehm Laffin.
On Jan. 5, 1963, he married Pamela K. Vorhees, who survives in Celina.
Other survivors are two sons, Brad (Kate) and Beau (Tiffany), all of Celina; a daughter, Kara (Steven) Stukenborg, Centerville; a brother, Dennis (Gloria), Rockford; three sisters, Jannis (Dan) Osterloh, Cinda (Robert) Cook and Trude Laffin, all of Celina; a mother-in-law, Jane Vorhees, Celina; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He worked at the former Agco New Idea, Coldwater, and retired as a Celina City School bus driver in 2000. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, all in Celina, and a 1960 graduate of Celina High School. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Mthodist Church, Celina, and raised and trained harness racing horses and was past president of the Western Ohio Colt Racing Association and past president of the Harness Horseman Association.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jeffrey Conrad officiating.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
