Margaret Agler
Margaret Eileen Agler, 86, of Ohio City, died at 4 a.m. March 27, 2009, at her home.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Bristol, England, to John and Grace Steward Nash. On May 22, 1944, she married Arland Dale Agler, who died June 28, 1999.
Surviving is a son, Robert G. "Tadpole" Agler, Van Wert; two daughters, Margaret A. "Toad" (Ronnie) Lautzenheiser, Convoy, and Carol R. (Dean) Miller, Ohio City; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Cecil Gordan Nash.
She was a cook at Colonial Nursing Home, Rockford, and had worked at Tu Way Products for 16 years before retiring. She was a member of Free Christian Church, Continental, and attended Life House. She participated in the Land Army during World War II, farming and other war activities and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Rockford.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Revs. James Fry and Matt Braun officiating. Burial is at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
