Almalea Winer
Almalea Winer, 92, of St. Marys, died at 3:50 a.m. April 9, 2009, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born Nov. 30, 1916, in St. Marys, to Orvil A. and Bessie E. Packer Sweigart. On March 24, 1940, she married Merlin C. Winer, who died April 10, 2005.
Surviving are two nephews, David (Chris) Chivington, St. Marys, and Brenton (Amy) Chivington, Lewis Center.
Deceased are a son, Ronald E. Winer; two brothers, Orvil and Carter Sweigart; and two sisters, Leona Sheets and Beatrice Chivington.
She was a 1934 graduate of Memorial High School and a member of Grace Missionary Church, Celina, and its Maranatha class. She was an election day pollworker for many years.
Public graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, the Rev. Harold Lunsford officiating.
There are no calling hours.
