Paul Bruns
Paul H. Bruns, 83, 3896 Philothea Road, Philothea, died at 1:05 a.m. April 18, 2009, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born April 8, 1926, in St. Henry, to Victor J. and Regina Albers Bruns, On June 10, 1953, he married Rita B. Wenning, who died Feb. 20, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Mike (Deb) Bruns, Celina; a brother, Herbert (Lenora ) Bruns, Baytown, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Bruns, St. Henry; a brother-in-law, James Yeager, Fairfax Station, Va.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and his wife, David and Susannah Bruns; a sister, Mary Yeager, and a sister and her husband, Rita and Gene Dues.
He retired from the former Mersman Furniture Company, Celina. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and its choir, Philothea, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Coldwater. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial with military rites is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
